Journal: What is an American?

An American is a person who may be able to speak a second language or many others, but SPEAKS ENGLISH!!!!! If you can't or won't learn, then don't live here. If your visiting, that's fine, but, don't live here if you won't learn English.
Many immigrants have made foundations, buisness's, families, careers, etc etc
but, Learn English and drive on the correct side of the road.
That we follow in America if you live here.

Otherwise, if you can't follow or try following these two things these while you LIVE here. Then you are not an American, nor have you become one.

I would say an American is Patriotic, but, know what? You don't have to be, in theory you can say what you want here, we have "Free Speech" and have basic constitutional rights as a human being in America. (Many though, like me, would debate that in this modern society, our rights have been tweaked.)

An American has a social security number. If you don't, and you were born here, you are likley under 18 and will get one at 18.

If you are an American, it is likley you wear jeans. (However, of course there are exceptions, as an American, you have the right to wear whatever you choose... Don't you?) (Really?, I mean, except basically, no one can wear a bandanna though because of "Gangs and gang colors", or is it all part of fear tactics?)

If you are American, you have rights.

Americans have opinions, some pessimistic, some strong, some optimistic.
But it is likley, you are an American if you are strongly opinionated, and are not afraid to voice them to government or the public around you or across the states.
(Not to say that other countries don't have brave, strong, opinionated people,
but under the Constitutional Amendment America was founded on "The American People have the right to free speech" and therefore, hopefully, never have to fear violence imposed upon us by our own government because we verbally, or wrote and voice our opinions)
